The stein is beautifully handcrafted in detailed ceramic relief by Ceramarte of Brazil, and is highlighted by the colorful official emblem of the Nagano Winter Olympics, the "Snowflower." This emblem is repeated at the center of the stein, on the handle and on a ceramic inlay in the stein's pewter lid.

Official logos from past Olympic Winter Games host cities are featured on each side of this remarkable commemorative stein, and the official pictograms of the Nagano Games are presented in a top band.
